Betsey Johnson 2008 Fall collection

With clear parallels between Fall and the looks in the retrospective, Betsey Johnson gave a beatnik romp show for her 2008 fall collection. Black was used a lot here to combine with red or yellow which gave a beatnik, dark feeling. Red, yellow and blue were used again but different with them in the spring collection, they were in high saturation and low value. Triad color scheme was used as well as the monochromatic color scheme. For the indigo dress, Betsey applied lighter color yellow and red on the edge of the garment to balance. A red belt and red leotard are used to balance the high chroma blue sweater.

In this coat, red with same chroma and value looked different due to the different color of background. It tended to be more stand out against black but a little merge with white and grey.

Colors used this time: High chroma and constant value
For the Proportion of using color, Betsey Johnson decided to choose one color to be a main color for one set of cloths whose proportion is above 70% for most of cloths.
